Welcome to Backyard Training Kennels, bird dog training is my passion. I have been training gun dogs since 1990. After many years sending dogs to trainers who did not deliver what they promised, I set out to learn all I could about dog behavior and the way they learn. My hunting dog training program is tailored to meet the individual needs of each dog. I have finished gun dogs for many satisfied bird dog owners. I also compete in AKC pointing breed hunt testing; I own and have trained the first and only English Pointer Master Hunter in the State of Texas at this time.
