Description

This pretty much all white English Setter has been in a kennel for pretty much all his life. My belief is he was never hunted. I took him as a project because he came out of my favorite female. The first two quail I put out for him he pointed nicely. I shot the 2nd one and he picked it up. No problem with the gun.

This dog vegetated in a small kennel run and it shows. After the quail I put pigeons out for him and he was pretty loose on them and did not point with the same intensity as he had on the quail. my impression is that he is not gunshy at all or bird shy. He is very close. You don’t need to worry about him running off for sure. I’ve only had him on game twice but will continue that as soon as possible.
